A bocadillo is a type of Spanish sandwich. What generally separates a traditional American sandwich from a bocadillo is the number of ingredients and the type of bread. American sandwiches tend to have meats, cheeses, produces and condiments while a bocadillo just a few ingredients served on rustic baguette. Some of the more popular combinations of bocadillos are tortilla (egg omelet), Serrano (ham), Iberico (Spanish chorizo), and the one we are making, tomato and Manchego cheese. Bocadillos are the Spanish version of fast food and can be found everywhere across the country. They are easy, flavorful, delicious and incredibly kid friendly.
